This class is an 4th-5th Grade level Virginia History Class. Students in upper grades can take this class as well.

Virginia History is an interactive, multi-module approach to studying history. We explore VA's role in American History. The backbone of the course uses The VA Adventure (Gibbs Smith Publishers), but we also include other age appropriate literature, primary source documents, internet resources, time period maps, and film. Students will practice using critical thinking skills, debating fact vs. opinion, understanding cause and effect in history, and building an American History timeline to include Virginia's role.
