Government/Finance
American Government is a comprehensive study of federal, state, and local government, the branches of government, and the history of our government. We use the textbook American Government by Bob Jones University Press. This hands on class includes projects and book reports, The semester culminates with a mock trial in which the students play the roles of prosecutors, defense attorneys, and witnesses.
Personal Finance is a video class which uses Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace for the Next Generation. The students also read several books about finance and complete projects such as tracking stocks and mutual funds. It teaches young adults how to save, build wealth, budget, shop wisely, and avoid debt.
