Plants and Animals - 3rd Grade

Michelle Rubright

We have made the decision to use the The Usborne Science Encyclopedia (Internet Linked) as a spine for our classes.

What does this mean?

We are generally taking the scope and sequence for the classes from the structure that this book provides.  Home-study and test material will largely be taken from this book.  In the classroom, however other material will be introduced to your child. The child will not be expected to produce this material either on a test or home study unless the teacher has provided the parent access to a resource that would help augment the information.  Supplemental materials can be provided to the parent either via the teacherweb or in hardcopy sheets.

Below are two links for you to gather information about the book.

Estimated Cost:

Usborne Internet Linked Science Encyclopedia (Hardcover) = $ 25.00

Usborne Internet Linked Science Encyclopedia (Softcover) = $ 14.00

Below is the table of contents from these books.  At this point, this is the general area of study for each class.  There may be additions to each class taken from other functional areas of this book that compliment or augment the material that may have been previously studied.
